I began creating circular symbolic art in September, 2003 after witnessing my first image, a Celtic Mandala ( Piece #4803) in a dream. Wood and paint were readily available in my Kawaihae warehouse and , guided by spirit, I started laying out and painting geometric shapes and just loved it!

I bought a sketchbook and began traveling and discovering a deeper sense of myself  while sketching in art museums, stretching and breathing at yoga workshops and retreats, and returned home with hundreds of sketches. Now in the spring of 2005 I have shown my work in a Big Island art exhibition, had my first solo show and have sold some of my pieces.

My art is about seeing a spiritual essence in everything. It's an opportunity to get out of one's head through a visual meditation. My art is an offer for a "thinking time out," an open invitation to move within us to a quiet place, our own inner garden. My images suggest a deeper vibratory quality beneath everyday surface reality.

The creative process I experience in my studio is wonderful and quite powerful. My art is a sharing of this experience with the viewer. Peace is freedom; freedom is peace.
